A lightening strike is believed to be the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Newton County. The
Saturday night fire was off County Road 4002, southeast of Newton. Firefighters from Newton, Bon
Wier, and Trout Creek battled the fire. There were no injuries and the home was a total loss.
