A man accused of shooting his father and a woman has been indicted by a Jefferson County
grand jury. 18-year old Eric Busby Jr. is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
On April 1st, Eric Busby Sr. was shot in the head and abdomen and Michaela Landry was
shot several times at an apartment in the 3500 block of MLK.

A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for aggravated sexual assault and
kidnapping. 23-year old Benjamin Michael Flanders is accused of forcing his ex-girlfriend at
gunpoint from a home in the 2600 block of Harrison to a home in the 1200 block of Trinidad
where she was sexually assaulted. Flanders is also accused of threatening to shoot up the victim’s
mother’s house.

A Beaumont man has been indicted on a charge of aggravated assault-family violence. 38-year
old Miguel Perez is accused of stabbing his wife during a disturbance at the family home in the
3100 block of Holland on March 28th. 32-year old Claudia Martinez was stabbed in the chest.
She also had bruises on her face.
