Beaumont police are looking for a man that eluded them following a chase. Police attempted
a routine traffic stop yesterday when the driver sped off. The driver lost control of the car
and crashed into a house in the 900 block of Pipkin. He got out of the car and fled on foot and
has not been located. Nobody was home during the wreck and there were no injuries.
