A 31-year old woman found unresponsive in her cell at the Jefferson County Correctional
Facility yesterday morning has died. Leeeann Navarro was arrested this past Friday on theft
charges. She also had felony warrants out of Jefferson and Harris Counties. Medical staff at the
jail began CPR to no avail. An autopsy has been ordered. The Texas Rangers were notified
and will assist in the investigation, which is standard procedure.
