AL'S MORNING BLOG 4/9/2023

If you haven't read about A-1 then you are behind the curve. I noticed few people are talking aout it because they either don't believe it, aren't interested or are too busy texting about some guy balancing four golf balls on his tongue at the same time. I am low grade, simple minded when it comes to anything except opening the fridge or slowing down in a school zone but I kinda get it. the 1950 black and white movies that showed robots doing the housework made us laugh. Now it's here. So is the internet, the cell phone, Alexa, Door Dash and everything else we thought not possible. I recall my mom seeing a demonstration at the New York worlds fair in 1940. NBC radio was showing the "Future of Tommorow" on a small black and white television screen. She remarked upon seeing the pictures that we didn't need it beause we already had RADIO. Sounds dumb now, but think about it. We were fine with standard transmissions on autos but now they drive themselves. A-1 will let robots take over the world in well your guss is as good as mine. One year? Two ? Ten? Like the atom bomb or Skype or a chip that let's us find our lost dog. It's here to stay. You cannot put the Genie back in the bottle. I read all the commentary saying that we need to pause. Whenever have we had need to pause? We can't even get folks to stop at a red light. How can we prevent science? Maybe we are ultimating destoying ourselves. God knows we have the instruments to do it. I try to think how happy I was when there was no TV. ( I remember.) I recall not having a calculator and having to solv math problems by myself or not having a dime for the phone booth. If you got hungry on the way home from school you waited till you got to the house and made a baloney sandwich. No Mc muffins, no quartr pounders. I love 95 percent of what we have today. The nwe stuff, like the old stuff is new now and will be passe tomorrow. Maybe bots will rule the world. Artifical Intelligence can chalk that one up. It's the brainiac's fault, right? We can't shoot em, can we? Maybe we'll teach the bots to do that. They won't need doctors, nurses or hospitals. Just a little WD40 now and then. Good as new.
