A woman charged with neglecting a dog has been placed on two years probation. Jackie Thomas
appeared in front of Judge Clint Woods yesterday. Thomas had two dogs staying at her home.
One died from starvation. As part of the probation, she cannot go near any animals for the
next two years and she must serve 100 hours of community service. She must also write a
letter of apology to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
