Four Beaumont police officers are on administrative leave, which is department policy,
following an officer involved shooting. Officers were called to the 2700 block of Atlanta on
Monday about a man walking in the street firing shots. Officers arrived and warned the man
to drop the gun. After about five minutes, the officers were forced to discharge their weapons.
The man was transported to the hospital. No officers were hurt.
