A Liberty County man and his mother both face charges in the death of a man who was dragged
with his own pickup truck, which was then set on fire. Deputies arrested 37-year-old Robert
Hoffpauir on Sunday for the murder of 60-year-old Roman Rodriguez. Hoffpauir's mother, 56-
year-old Timey Ann Cole, was arrested Wednesday and charged with evidence tampering.
Hoffpauir and Cole are both charged with abuse of a corpse. An autopsy will reveal whether
Rodriguez was already dead by the time he was dragged down the highway.
