This is pretty cool to watch! 80 year old Paul Simon came out of retirement to play a few songs at the Newport Folk Festival.
"The performance was a rare one for Simon, who announced his retirement from touring in 2018. He’s played only sporadically in public since then. “What a joy working with Nathaniel and his incredible band. The atmosphere at the festival was nothing short of wonderful,” Simon said in a statement after the set.
“It’s hard to put into words the joy we felt bringing the great American songwriter Paul Simon to the Newport Folk stage. Thank you, Paul, for your songs, your voice and your presence,” Rateliff added." (source: SPIN)
