The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Hardin County, was able to return $25,000 to a Jasper County family that was scammed out of the money. The money was found and removed from an Kiosk style ATM bitcoin machine at a location in Hardin County. Just under $32,000 was removed from the machine. Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard reminds citizens do not give out personal information over the phone even if the caller claims to be from Law Enforcement.
