By a 7-0 vote, the Beaumont city council has passed an ordinance to close all game rooms in the city. This includes the removal of 8-liner machines in convenience stores . The ban will take effect in 90 days. Other cities across Southeast Texas have already or are in the process of closing game rooms in their communities.
