A Jefferson County man, who pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child is heading to prison. Monday, Judge John Stevens sentenced 22 year old Austin Dwayne Shoemaker to 20 years behind bars. The assault of the 13 year old victim occurred this past March at a Beaumont motel. Shoemaker also had a 10 year probation sentence revoked from a 2022 theft. Five years from that charge with run concurrently with Monday’s 20 year sentence.
