The DPS has released the name of a man that died after crashing his pickup into a tanker truck in Jasper County Friday morning. 35-year-old Jonathan Smith, of Woodville, was traveling west in the eastbound lane of County Road 156, near Dam B, when he struck the oncoming tanker. Smith died at the scene. The driver of the tanker truck was transported to the hospital.
