Politics is so like the final four. If you haven't watched March Madness, you will not catch on. If you have you know. At the end of game, the winning team coach hugs the loser and players high five losing players. Do they mean it? Of course not. It's a sham, but it's necessary. It is " good sportsmanship". Malarky!! They're glad they kicked the crap out of the other team. We all know it. But it's disciplined. There is a time lock and when time runs out, it's over. There are officials, who for the most part call things accurately. Unlike politics. All bets are off. There is no getting along. The big difference is the media. They are the officials. If they want to call something wrong, they do it. And no one complains. That's because half of our population is more interested in their phone. They would rather watch a dog catch a frisbee or some drunk on a plane hassle a pilot. They cannot be bothered with something that might dictate their future. Whether you love or hate Donald Trump, you cannot love what is going on with the brain starved DA in New York City. Or maybe you can. We now dislike sports teams. The difference is we don't bother to hug or shake hands. We let the media officiate. This is why the media is dying. Take a look at the front page of whatever you read. The majority run recipes on the front page rather than practice journalism. They take their cue from a few slanted national folks who dupe us into believing what they crank out in volumes. Political cartoons, op-ed pieces drummed up at some liberal university and it's just as bad on the other side. There is no truth in lending, truth in spoken word and no truth, period. It's rather sad that the pioneers of this industry worked so hard to bring you the truth and the fruits of their labors rot in the print shops and editing rooms of he former bastions of truth. (There's that word again.) Johhny Cash once recorded a song entitled "What is truth". Hmm?
