Shortly after Tommy Beckett was born, doctors diagnosed him with a rare liver condition and his mother Lauren Beckett, 25, put out an urgent plea for a liver donor. Hundreds of people volunteered, but it was Lauren’s best friend, Kayleigh Taylor, 34, who ended up being a match and the two had a successful transplant surgery late last year. More than half a year later, Tommy is happy and healthy and Lauren is beyond grateful for what her friend of six years has done for her family.
